Would retiring out of the United States benefit your health?
A recent article written by International Living says so. This article pinpoints the five best places to go to live a longer, healthier and essentially happier life.
"Optimism and purpose, a low stress level, a natural diet and an active lifestyle…experts say those factors are three times as important as your genetic makeup when it comes to enjoying a long and healthy life." -This makes perfect sense to me. No nine-hour minimums at the office, no hustle and bustle of the busy city life, no fast food chain every 10-feet, the list goes on. The American lifestyle is known to be one full of stress, work and being overweight - oh and freedom and opportunity. Don't get me wrong, I love America and I love Utah. But, there are some major advantages to living in a country that follows a 'slower pace' of life and a lower cost of living.
Escape to a place where you will live longer and healthier!
Here is International Living's top five:
New Zealand
Costa Rica’s Nicoya Peninsula
Sardinia
Vilcabamba, Ecuador
The features that make these destinations desirable to those retiring, looking to move, make a property investment or visit, are the same features you will find in the land of Honduras.
This article made me want to get outta here and live a healthier, richer life!

Project: Monte Real Del Bosque
After months and months (and months) of meetings, and planning, etc. we are making significant strides with one of our project developments:
Monte Real Del Bosque.
Located less than 10 miles from La Ceiba, Monte Real Del Bosque is nestled in the foothills of the rain forest on the outskirts of town overlooking the Caribbean Sea.
The costs of owning a home in this exclusive gated community are much less than you would ever imagine. Enjoy amenities such as a cook, housekeeper and gardener, and all within your budget.
The remaining 33 picturesque lots of the 87-lot subdivision are now available for purchase; all surrounded by lush trees and many with ocean views.
Choose from a wooden ocean view or mountain view, and lot size. CMI-International, in partnership with Caribbean Land Realty will provide for turnkey construction of your new residence. Build one of our luxurious home plans, or we can help you to design a custom plan.

While more and more people are visiting Honduras, it remains some sort of a secret treasure that has yet to truly be discovered. Now is the time to invest in Honduras, as it's positioned as an up-and-coming top tourist destination!
Enjoy some random tid-bits that make Honduras a destination you want to check out!
Not only is Honduras a beautiful place to be, as you can see, the cost of living is low, property prices are extremely reasonable and it offers an extremely varied landscape.
Honduras has numerous resources to offer: plenty of pristine land for development, investment and agriculture, inexpensive labor, forestry, mining and tourism. A stable investment climate offers numerous incentives to those who want to live, visit, retire or do business here.
TAX incentives making investing and living/retiring here are very appealing... If you choose to retire in Honduras, you’ll find that the Honduran government won’t tax your U.S. Social Security and pension payments. In fact, as a foreign resident, you’ll be entitled to tax breaks. And the government encourages foreign investment in the tourism industry–a promising sector that has been largely neglected until now–with attractive tax incentives. (1)

Who We Are & What We're Doing Here...

Who We Are
Dan Christensen: President and CEO
Wayne Whetman: Vice President (and blogger)
Michael Warren: Development Consultant
Carlos Munoz: Sales Manager
Machel Devin: Public Relations/Marketing Director (& guest blogger)
Dan and I first ventured into Honduras in 2007 on a quest for port sites that could accommodate an enthanol dehydration facility as a possible outreach for the Green Plain Renewable Energy. After locating the site and acquiring the necessary permits to establish a 20-year lease in Puerto Castilla, we realized there was major potential to develop the coastal city of La Ceiba, as well as the former English-owned islands in the Caribbean.Dan Christensen: President and CEO

Several investment opportunities became available in La Ceiba- in our interest! Our first project: a residential subdivision next to Pico Bonita... Monte Real Del Bosque.
Due to our continued presence in La Ceiba, we also obtained a local strategic partner to develop a marina and condo/hotel (condotel) in the heart of downtown La Ceiba. The project, Camino Real Condotel, will be thee premier place to stay in the "New Orleans" of the Caribbean.
As we are making major progress on both of these projects now, we want to spread the word about what we are doing and what this amazing place has to offer. A company website is in the works and information will be posted once it's live. Check back here regularly for progress updates, details about our projects, new acquisitions, what is going on locally in Honduras and interesting local news. We travel back and forth between Utah and Honduras every few weeks... we have a lot of adventure stories to share.
Enjoy and share with your friends and family.
